Charles Stimpson Associates are an independent Chartered Surveyor Practice, established to provide a range of services to those dealing with residential and commercial property.

We undertake various types of survey, project work, defect analysis and expert reporting and valuations for mortgage, probate, insurance and other purposes. The practice has familiarity with most construction types gained over approximately twenty five years experience and a particular interest in Listed and period Buildings.

The proprietor of the practice, Charles Stimpson, has spent many years associated with the practical issues of building maintenance and repair, providing valuable hands on knowledge of the real issues involved and the likely causes of failure and so is well experienced to advise on these aspects of property ownership particularly in the case of listed and period buildings where the older construction types tend to bring unusual and different faults from those found on modern buildings.

The Practice also undertakes Expert Witness services for clients or their Solicitors. See 'Expert Witness Services'. Charles Stimpson is approved by the Law Society, and has given evidence, as an Expert Witness in both civil and criminal matters.

As a Chartered Surveying Practice, we provide guidence on a wide range of property related and development matters. We have private residential and commercial clients, throughout the South East.

Charles Stimpson B Sc (Hons), MRICS, ACI Arb, ICIOB, MEWI. Is an experienced Chartered Surveyor, a Member of the Building Surveying, Valuation and Dispute Resolution Faculties of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Mr. Stimpson is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Law Society Panel of Expert Witnesses and the Expert Witness Institute, all following assessment. Charles qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in May 1999 and this Practice was established in October of that year. Prior to qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor he gained approximately 15 years experience in building and property matters generally. Mr. Stimpson is a member of the Kent branch of the Pyramus and Thisbe club a specialist club for Party Wall surveyors.
